Clan Mentality: a Gravestomp Through Long Grove
A fall afternoon, a Harley, a camera: sounds like the recipe for a visit to a small churchyard cemetery that felt a bit unwelcoming.

Very interesting, the concept of the clan mentality. That feeling is very present in Chicago in the neighborhoods as well, to a degree.
ReplyDeleteVERY MUCH! In Chicago people are defined by the neighborhoods in which they live, the "clan" they come from: Little Italy, Germantown, Wrigleyville, Bronzeville, Little India, Little Saigon, Chinatown, Boystown, Andersonville, Bucktown, etc. Most people when they vist Chicago for the first time are so surprised by all the clans here. A lot of the cemeteries tend to reflect the neighborhood clans.
